Samantha

Samantha is a Registered Veterinary Technician with an amazing bedside manner. She has been with APCC since August of 2005. Born in San Clemente and now living in Aliso Viejo – she is the definition of SoCal - loving the beach and snowboarding equally. Her family consists of her husband Darin, 2 cats – Nerd Alert who is a PRC rescue and Roy Dave and their newest addition: Samantha became a mommy in October of 2013 with the birth of their son: Darin Duke. Growing up she had dreams of being a Zoologist – always knowing she would work with animals. She is queen of the dance floor – so keep your eyes on her.

Amanda

Amanda

RVT

Amanda has been with APCC since 2008. Originally from Orange she lives with her PRC rescue cat, Glenn. A music lover of bands like Jack White and The Smiths, she feels like she was born in the wrong time; that's all the more evident with her love for film noir and Alfred Hitchcock films. In Amanda's free-time, she loves to play guitar, read, write, go hiking and camping. She would love to travel the world and her dream destination would be Denmark. We are proud of Amanda and her journey here at APCC, working her way from kennel to where she is today, as a Registered Veterinary Technician. Her calm and caring demeanor will make you and the animal members of your family feel like you're part of our family at APCC during your visit.

Hunter

Hunter

Hunter has been with APCC since 2009; she moved from reception to treatment in August of 2013. This former ballerina loves to eat (especially sushi) and spend time with her adorable daughter Ellie, her cat, Gato and her newly adopted (former PRC) chihuahua mix Bada-Bing.  In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching baseball and is currently working on mastering the culinary arts. Having attended 27 games at The Big A during the 14-15 season, you will be hard-pressed to find a bigger Angels fan. Hunter has a radiant smile and personality that can easily change anyone's gloomy day completely around.

Kaitlin

Kaitlin

Kaitlin is one of the newest members of our treatment staff here at APCC. We are excited to have her enter our doors with a longstanding history in the field and plenty of experience. Kaitlin comes from a very large Irish family, and she is a newlywed, as well. If she could live anywhere at all, she would choose either Boston or Sussex, England. Outside of work, some of her favorite hobbies are either photography or "netflix & chill". Her favorite bands are The Beatles and Depeche Mode and if she could have dinner with any famous person, alive or dead, it would be a toss-up between John Lennon and Queen Elizabeth II. Kaitlin's favorite tv show as a kid was Double Dare and her first remembered celeb crush is Leonardo Dicaprio. She comes to us with a great deal of enthusiasm and has said that working at APCC is her "dream hospital come true".

Nikki

Nikki

Nikki was born in England. She now lives in Mission Viejo with her husband John, daughter Charlotte, her PRC rescue Penny a Shar Pei mix and 2 cats – Sam and Bibi. She loves to cook, read and spend time with her family. A definite Brit her fav foods are English cheese, English sausage and Yorkshire Pudding. In fact, she loves cheese so much she wants to raise goats and make her own. When she grows up she wants to be a micro-biologist or a physicist – she is a total science nerd and is well on her way. Claim to Fame: the only lefty at APCC.

Adrienne

Adrienne

Adrienne is a Bostonian who lives in Ladera Ranch, but returns home to visit every year. She has been with APCC since February of 2010 and has worked with animals for 17 years. She even worked with Dr. Wheaton at Urgent Care back in the day. From a big Italian family, this wine connoisseur loves to bake and cook Italian food - lasagna is her specialty. Her fav thing to do is chill with her family – husband Joey, daughter Gracie, son Gavin and their dog Stella, a Pit Bull. This busy girl is also going to school to become a Family Therapist.

Shay

Shay

Shay (aka Shay-Z) has been with APCC since 2010. She loves to paint, camp and go to the beach – she enjoys anything outdoors… which is perfect for a girl born in Huntington Beach and now living in Dana Point. Shay has adopted her two dogs from our friends at The Pet Rescue Center: Hiccup and one of the staff favorites, Summer. She used to help with make-up for films and even grew up acting in commercials. Contrary to how some people think the Hollywood machine works, her spot in a Ruffles commercial did not equal a lifetime supply of their chips. Her life dream is to be a Veterinarian, owning her own farm and living off the land. Shay is the kind of employee that makes us take pride in our slogan, because she loves working with your animals so much and takes tremendous care of them during your visit.

Jamie

Jamie

Jamie has been at APCC since 2011, where she started as a member of the reception team. Jamie loves spending time camping, going to the beach, going to concerts and reading. In 2013, Jamie married her high school sweetheart; she and her husband have two furry kids of their own: a terrier mix (Milo) she rescued via the PRC and a Doxie named Otis. That's right: Milo and Otis, just like the movie. Jamie's choice if she could have any superpower would be time travel; so, it's an understandable question that since her one famous person she would most like to have a dinner with is Mark Wahlberg, whether that would be the current version of the actor, or the New Kids On The Block era Markie Mark. Jamie is a huge part of the staff here at APCC and genuinely loves her job, the people she works with, your pets and hearing the stories from all of you about your beloved furry family members.

Brielle

Brielle

Brielle came to APCC in March of 2015, by way of Arizona. She originally hails from Trenton, New Jersey...adding some east coast flair to the hospital. Brielle loves to dance and sing in her car, though she says she does that terribly. Brielle said one of her favorite interests is "saving all the dogs"! As a child, Brielle wanted to be a veterinarian, which led to her getting into the veterinary field. She became a vet tech in Arizona in 2009 and has not looked back since. She is an 'island girl' at heart, saying she would most want to live somewhere in Hawaii or the Caribean Islands if she was able to. Brielle was one of the big fans of the TV show Lost and has held onto her childhood crush on Eminem to present day. Brielle loves little, white, fluffy dogs and is working toward starting her very own pet rescue! Brielle is connecting to the rest of her new team here at APCC quickly and showing herself to be just the right person for our hospital. She loves the other people she works with here, the overall atmosphere and all the love that is demonstrated toward all of the patients.

Cora

Cora

Cora has made great strides here at APPC, starting as a receptionist from outside the verterinary field...she has become a well-deserved fixture in the treatment room as a Veterinary Assistant. This So-Cal native loves hockey and is a huge supporter of the local NHL team. Cora has a rescue pet, a Belgian Malinois named "Ozzy Pawsbourne - Prince of Barkness" (that's really his name...no joke). She also recently adopted another dog, Joplin. Cora loves Mexican food, hiking, camping and just about anything outdoorsy. Cora spent most of her childhood involved in gymnastics and had aspirations of becoming a doctor. Among her favorite bands are The Smiths and The Kramps and she loves watching just about anything on Animal Planet. Cora loves being a part of the APCC team; loves the people she works with and learning all of the new things that happen here from day to day.

Nicola

Nicola

Nicola is a local girl, through and through, born in Laguna Hills and living locally to this day. If she could have any super powers, she'd have a difficult time choosing between the power to fly or to be able to breathe underwater. Nicola has the heart of an adventurer; she loves to hike, run and even explore new cities with her friends in tow. Her furry family members include 2 Aussie mixes, a pitbull/lab mix and 2 rabbits. Her current favorite band is The Lumineers and she is another of our big Walking Dead fans. When she was a little girl, she always wanted to be a veterinarian...but over time her goal has specifically changed to becoming an RVT. Nicola loves her team of co-workers here at APCC...she loves being around people that she not only can laugh with throughout her shift, but that she knows wants to help her learn and grow as a technician.

Jenevieve

Jenevieve

Jenevieve is one of the newest members of our treatment staff here at APCC. She recently made her way from the kennel attendant group into treatment as our hands on veterinary assistant. Jenevieve's furry family members include a 4 year old Puggle, a 10 year old Golden Retriever and a 11 year old Tabby cat. Jenevieve's mother was born in Manila, Philippines and moved to the U.S. when she was 13 years old. Her father hails from a slightly different section of the globe in Columbus, Ohio. In her spare time, she spends time hiking, going to the gym and hanging out with her friends. Her favorite band is City and Colour and her current favorite TV shows are The Walking Dead and American Horror Story. Jenevieve has been told she looks like Shay Mitchell from Pretty Little Liars. Jenevieve is another of our employees that has wanted to be a veterinarian since she was little; saying she used to watch surgeries by veterinarians on Animal Planet all the time as a child. Jenevieve loves working at APCC and really embraces the rewarding feeling of loving all of your pets during their visits here.
